Each member of our community celebrates individuality and respects diversity.
We prepare our learners
with the skills to be creative future thinkers who will be responsible and ready to make a positive contribution to our ever changing world.

SMSC is present throughout our curriculum - developing children's spiritual, moral, social and cultural perspectives is important and undertaken in a range of ways. Integrating it throughout our topic learning enusres all pupils are exposed to a range of experiences; through texts to explored, experiences undertaken out of school and time taken to question and reflect on our own learning.

As a whole school, children take part in celebrations and themes such as cultural diversity day, active and healthy week and Christingle. They take part in nationwide events such as Bernardo's hat day, anti bullying week and Remembrance day.

Developing the whole child is part of our school vision and this is encouraged through our day to day running of the school. Childen follow our JETT learning values and have the chance to support the school through a range of pupil jobs. Pupil voice is key and children have a say in how our school is developed; from deciding on class names to encouranging eachother to be more eco friendly.

"The main reason for emailing is to thank individual teachers for going the 'extra mile' to support my child in all the extra activities at school. Both teachers have taken personal responsibility for his safety and well-being to enable him to participate in slightly risky activities (our choice as I do not wish him to be limited). He has enjoyed swimming and the Little Canada trip and reports his teachers and staff are 'really kind' to him. Thank you for giving him an equal opportunity to thrive at your school. "
